CARVE AWAY

Sorry for the amount of scrolling on this post... I promise it will be worth it!

These are BLOWING MY MIND! Carved Book Landscapes by the very well rounded Guy Laramee.

GLASSWORK

I have seen these photos floating around and finally decided to post them. Extremely impressive stuff! Each piece takes nearly a month to create, thankfully Shayna Leib has the patience and the creative mind to get it done.
Leib says, “I use glass, not for its mimetic quality to capture the look of stone or plastic, but for its most unique properties; the inclination to flow, the capacity to freeze a moment in time, and its ability to manipulate optics.”

LET'S

I think I may have to purchase this. Great t-shirt design idea!

PARIS, JE T'AIME

I have always enjoyed photos of the Eiffel Tower but for some reason I am really digging this one. Maybe it is just it's ghostly reflection. Maybe because I feel like I myself am enjoying that beautiful sun shinny day in Paris. Then again maybe it is because I have Paris on the mind due to Erin taking a trip there this week. Whatever the case may be, good photo!
Side note: If you're in the mood for an "un-traditional" film check out PARIS, JE T'AIME. It is one I have had the pleasure of enjoying. Just don't watch it if your currently missing someone because it is a collaboration of love stories and it probably wont help.

THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO

My interest was first triggered onto (title) by the 2002 movie version. I then got the prior book version written by Alexandre Dumas which I very much enjoyed. If you need a good read I would say pick it up. Maybe if you prefer a movie and you have yet to see this one then do it! I feel confident in saying you wont be disappointed! JEREMY FISH

I really enjoy Jeremy's style. There is so much to take in from each piece and series of pieces. Here are some examples of his great work over the years. From photos you can see he sometimes does large scale projects... I would love to get my hands on one of those! He also does a clothing line which I believe is based in his home town of San Fransisco called Super Fishal (SF)

OUR PERSONALITIES IN A PENCIL

BELIEVE IN ONE

As I am sure many of you know, I rollerblade. Over the last year or so I have been introduced to a different angle on the matter... behind the camera. My friend Billy Anderson scored this piece (link below) on a website for ONE rollerblading magazine. The pictures from the article are taken by your very own!

I have posted this to my Facebook before but I reeeeally like it so I wanted to share it again. Shel has some truly amazing work. A while ago I purchased a book that was put together from illustrations of his world travels. Needless to say it was full of greatness!

SHOTS OF LOTS

Some aesthetically pleasing "shots of lots" to enjoy! I like how each one has so much to look at even though they are essentially the same objects repeated. Wish I knew who the photographer(s) were so I could give proper credit, either way good work!

ANDY WARHOL

Good ol' Andy Warhol. Does a fine job helping throw some color on a Friday.

THE IDEAS WE GET

PICKING SIDES

This made me laugh out loud! What a funny reference for a church to use. However, I do understand that the general idea of graffiti is negative and non-artistic. In many cases around town that is true; you just see gang letters and symbols or what some would call bombing (quick tags). But let's be honest, if you took a minute to look around you would discover that there are truly masters of the aerosol.

GROWING UP

I would say that is a fair assumption.
